After School Programs

For working families in need of an after school care to fill the gap between the end of the school day and the end of the workday, the Rosemead School District offers the following after school program in all its elementary schools (Encinita, Janson, Shuey, and Savannah,) and middle school (Muscatel) A.S.E.S.

After School Education and Safety (A.S.E.S.) is a free program provided by the State. Students are chosen by a lottery. It is offered at all elementary schools for grades TK-6th (Encinita, Janson, Savannah, and Shuey) and Muscatel Middle School for grades 7 and 8. Program hours are from after school until 6:00 pm at all sites. 

Our program offers homework help, sports activities, enrichment activities, field trips, recreational opportunities, and a light supper in a safe setting so that parents can complete their day without worry.

  • ASES: After school until 6:00 pm @ all school sites
  • ASART: After school until 6:00 pm @ Janson, Shuey, Savannah, and Encinita

• Before School Program Hours
  • Drop-In: 7:00 - 7:30 am @ Janson, Encinita, Savannah, and Shuey
  • Late Start: First and third Wednesdays, 7:30 - 9:30 am @ All school sites
