Great Kindness Challenge Week

This week, our school is participating in the Great Kindness Challenge! Although kindness is something we embody and practice daily, we want to shine a spotlight on the importance of how a simple act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone’s life. 

 

Tuesday, January 25 : School Site Council/  English Learner Advisory Council Meeting

This Tuesday, we will hold our monthly SSC and ELAC meeting at 2:30pm via Zoom. This public meeting is open to everyone.

Friday, January, 28: Lunar New Year Celebration

The Year of Tiger is upon us! February 1st, 2022 is the first day of the Lunar New Year. Our students will be performing during our Lunar New Year Assembly. We will be sure to take many photos and recordings for our families to enjoy. 

 

Monday, January 31: Pupil Free Day; No School

There is no school next Monday, January 31. It is a professional development day for all Rosemead School District employees. Our school office will be closed.

 

Looking ahead: 

Next Vaccine Clinic: Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Savannah Elementary School. 3720 Rio Hondo Avenue, Rosemead 91770 from  8am-12pm.

 

Next Superintendent's Parent Meeting: February 16, 2022 at 6:00pm.

 

Dr. Chang’s Maternity Leave

Families, this is my last week at Encinita before I take my maternity leave starting on February 1st. Mrs. Ginny Ford, retired Assistant Principal from Muscatel Middle School and former school psychologist, will be serving as interim principal until the end of May. I know that with the leadership of our community, our staff and our students, Encinita will continue to thrive in my absence.
