2023 1108 - "I would like to recommend a great place for a district field trip or a school field trip at the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center. They offer many learning expeditions including geology, rock formation, archaeology dig, gold panning, adobe brick making, fossils, dinosaurs, etc. It is very related to various science subjects taught within K-6. Thank you."
The District appreciates your suggestion for future field trips to the Jurupa Mountains Discovery Center; we will research the opportunity.

2023 1012 - "Janson - School meal are great and sounds yummy and delicious versus my time when I was in their shoe. However we shall have vegetarian options. Crossing guard are great if parents and kids are on foot. Need more or better patrol for vehicles staying stationary waiting for kids versus pick and go to eliminate vehicle congestion."
Thank you for your feedback.Meals - The Nutrition & Wellness Department offers a variety of menu items daily through the District’s school cafeterias. The “offer versus serve” method of service allows students to make their food selections from the variety of foods offered. Meatless items are indicated on the menus. This can assist parents in advising their students to make food selections in the cafeteria. Yogurt and granola are also available daily as their second choice if the main entree is not to their liking. Additionally, a variety of local and seasonal produce offerings are available daily. We will continue to strive to create new recipes and expand our menu selections, such as incorporating more meatless options. Our focus is to enhance the diet of our students by making more nutritious options available to them during the school day and providing nutrition education that will help students form healthy habits that will last a lifetime.Safety - The safety of our students, staff, and community is a top priority in our District. We work closely with the Temple Station Sheriff and the City of Rosemead to assess and improve our safety practices. We also send reminders to our parents throughout the year about the importance of traffic safety. We ask that parents obey all traffic laws and school guidance when dropping off and picking up students. We also ask that parents be respectful of our neighbors by not blocking driveways or access to homes.
